In 2016, the Crisis Intervention Center...

  • Housed 249 women and children through our safe shelter / empowerment program
  • Provided 4,793 nights of safe shelter 
  • Fed 14,379 meals to women and their children
  • Answered 611 domestic violence & sexual assault calls through our 24/7 crisis hotline totaling more than 440 hours of crisis intervention.  Of those calls, 188 became clients.
  • A total of 445 clients received services totaling more than 5900 hours.  Services include but are not limited to crisis counseling, orders of protection, action plans, support groups, parenting classes, and safety planning.
  • Had 130 children attend our DHS-licensed, on-site daycare totaling more than 2,300 hours
  • Case Management and  Advocates made more than 303 referrals for financial services totaling individual financial assistance in the amount of $12,204.32.  Financial Assistance includes, but is not limited to clothing, household items, rental/utility assistance, and transportation.
  • 75 Women and men received confidential forensic rape exams.
  • During 2016, our Prevention Education team presented curriculum to more than 3,200 youth in our schools and reached over 1,500 adult students and community members through collaboration efforts.
