The mission of the Program is to provide a safe, loving, quality learning environment with an emphasis on the children’s social-emotional development.

Serving children-at-risk and their families

The Crisis Intervention Center’s DHS-licensed child care program, Brighter Beginnings Child Care Center, now has openings for foster children ages birth through five years of age. The Brighter Beginnings Child Care Center has been awarded Level 2 of the Arkansas quality accreditation initiative Better Beginnings. Families can be confident in level of care the children in our services receive.

The team at the Brighter Beginnings Child Care Center has a heart and passion to help young children-at-risk. The child care center serves ONLY the children in the Crisis Intervention Center’s 32-bed domestic violence/sexual assault shelter program and foster children.

We utilize the Adventures in Learning for 3-5 year olds, Adventures for Toddlers for 18-36 month olds and Connecting with Infants for infants birth to 18 months.

Because of the special needs of those we serve, we focus a great deal on social/emotional development and utilize the Second Step for Early Learners and the UAMS REACH social/emotional curriculums to provide the children a greater opportunity toward a foundation for good behaviors and future school success.
